So since the female is still eating well and the male is eating also... then does that mean that the mating was unsuccessful? or does she continue to feed until the eggs begin to develop?

But for my colony, normal eating is a sign of NOT being gravid. My girls would gorge themselves (if allowed to) when not gravid. When gravid they might take one small rat. I have heard some will eat like normal all the way through.

Jason,
...When was the last time you saw them mating? My females eat for a week or two after last observed mating and then go off feed and at the same time start looking and acting gravid. If a female has not been bred for more than a few weeks and is still eating heavily she is likely not gravid.
Good luck,
Jeff

Last seen breeding was on May 11
Does this mean their incompatible or just missed the boat this time. New male or female or both?
Your male may have missed the ovulation. It is a little late in the year, but I wouldn't give up yet. You might try separating and feeding them for a week and then reintroducing them. Just keep watching. If she's going to go off feed, she'll do it soon.

Jason,
...Don't give up on them for this year. Let them stay togather and perhaps they will breed again. There are way too many possibilities to draw any conclusions. Perhaps they were too cool or too warm for too long or too short a period of time? Perhaps too warm or too cool now? Perhaps male or female not yet mature? Perhaps not enough weight on the female? On and on???? If this was easy we would be producing so many babies we would be giving them away like I used to do when I bred Cornsnakes.
