Floppy tail will not affect breeding (if it is not severe). A possibly cause of FTS is a calcium deficiency although I personally believe that it is due to spending too much time upside down. Calcium deficiency will affect egg production. Increase the calcium intake (dust crickets, add calcium to babyfood/CGD, etc.).

I agree about the spending time upside-down thing. It's like babies (human) spending all the time laying on the back of their head in those carseat things. They get a flat head. No matter how wonderful your bone development is, constant stress and pressure can bend it.
Check her calcium stores in the roof of her mouth first. If they look fine, continue supplementation and try it. But safety depends on severity. I could see severely drastic conditions resulting in a narrow pelvic canal.
My two cents.
