A neighbor found this RES in his front yard fountain. No idea who put it there. Knowing I keep turtles, he brought it to me. It has huge lumps on both sides of its head. Has anyone seen this before or know what it might be?

These pretty much sound like ear abscesses that a vet should take
care of. I would get on this as these can turn nasty and
are painful to the turtle. An experienced vet will lance
them and remove the pus. This is really the only way to
fix the turtle. Once of mine developed one many years ago
but after the procedure and a little recuperation period he
has never had a problem since.
Good luck and keep us updated
