wow I thought it was :
tee-goo
when you find out let me know. I know Bert's wife Hester says TAY-GOO...but she's from Holland so I'm not sure if it's her accent...

When I was first deciding on a Tegu, I actually looked it up on an online dictionary, which had a link you could click on that would audibly pronounce the word for you, and it says "Tay-goo"

Excellent question!
I saw my first tegu several years ago, a beautiful 20 lb B&W female. The owner called her a TAY-goo. I've since heard 'em called:
tay-GOO
TEE-goo
tee-GOO
TI-goo
ti-GOO
We shorten it to 'goo' in our household. "The 'gu is burrowing in the sofa again."
TAAy Gooo
teg -u
i'm proud to say i ordered my first tegu today from Bert at Agama International, an argentine b&w hatchling, great communication with bert btw
it will hopefully be here tomorrow so i am going to the store tonight to pick up some food, for the ground turkey just add some repcal calcium with d3 (occasionally herptivite) to it and roll into a meatball size and they eat it raw right?
what kind of ratios make up their diet for u guys? out of mealworms, ground turkey, fruits/vegs...what will i be feeding him more of? (what would be the healthy balance) thanks
I say TAY-goo, well normally just tag cause I'm lazy...but then, as with the Holland case I'm a cunuck, so I don't know if it's the accent, eh?
