I heard that there's certain permits or licenses needed to do so. What would I need to have and what would it cost?
I wasn't able to get any more info out of one person I spoke to regarding it.
Any help is appreciated. Thanks. =3

Generally you don't need permits to ship reptiles. Certain native species need special permits or can't be sold within Ca.
If your more specific about what your shipping it would be easier to help you.

Leopard geckos mostly...maybe ball pythons.
I thought it would just be native species also... but I wasn't sure. The idea of a hefty fine kinda made me nervous too. Maybe the person I spoke to was shipping Cal Kings or something. =/
TO ship native species you need export permits and posably import permits for the state you are sending them to. I am not sure but the import export permit may be one in the same. The permits to legaly sell native species are compleatly diferent. I beleave you need the Sport fishing licence to collect them and a captive propogation permit to breed them then another permit to sell them. Pain in the but if you ask me.
