Well it ain't a snake, it's a spider...

...but the spider forum on here doesn't seem to get much if any traffic. This spider was found in Knoxville Tn. in a house and buried at sea. I wondered if anyone here knew what kind of spider it is.

I'm no expert, but it looks like a fishing spider of some type.

I have a huge fear of spiders, give me a 15' burm and im happy, but forget them spiders, looks like a brown reclouse to me.

lol. i agree- i have a 20 ft burm laying part on my bed and part on the floor around me feet, and coming up my leg- but i'd run screaming if i saw that thing. I dont think its a recluse. its probably a wolf spider of some kind, but probably a fishing spider- harmless either way...
::shudders and gives the burm a big hug back in appriciation::

I vote fisher spider too. Below is a photo of one that bit me last summer. Hurt like hell!
