I have one lonely box turtle egg that is now five weeks into incubation. I couldn't resist candling it last night. It was so neat! I saw blood vessels and a shadow image of the baby. The little cutie was moving its legs. I can't wait until it hatches.

Congratulations to everyone else expecting babies!

What temp are you incubating the egg at? How long do they usually take to hatch?

I WAS trying to keep it around 88 degrees to try for a female. However, about a week after finding it, I checked it and discovered a large crack. So it is not viable! Oh well, maybe next time!
