Sable?

justkilintyme May 31, 2006 04:24 PM

I have been watching the pages of Kingsnake.com for about a year and a half, specifically the ball python classifieds. I see today an ad for a Sable Female, for $5000. what is this morph? any info/pics would be appreciated. Thankyou

Jesse

The sable morph is basically a co-dominant hyper-melanistic morph. I am sure someone else can elaborate further.

Sable is a codom morph...they look kinda normal until you get the super sable, those are dark and very reduced patterns....A guy I know sold 10 supers last year and kept a large number of the sables and supers to breed in a few seasons...

I feel this is a new morph that wont get much attention until it gets crossed with a few other morphs like pastel....a pastel hypermelinistic snake.....that would rock.....I think Ill buy a few sables this year to get ahead and cross them with other morphs

how did a guy you know sell 10 super sables last yr if only 2 were in existence???

There were only 2 supers produced last year. Both by Eric Burkett. This season there might be a couple more supers produced.. I have a gravid sable female from a sable male so I might be one of the lucky few to produce one...

I personally saw 6 of the supers that you say didn't exsist, he had more in his hotel room at Daytona last year....he also had more at his house in Mass.....I saw 6 supers and a few regulars so I know that there were more than 2

Keep hittin' the pipe!! I hope there's 10 more out there. I won't feel bad about lowering the price!!

pythonregius35 Jun 01, 2006 05:48 PM

you know I'm full of crap!! I couldn't care if there was 100, Supers are and always will be worth their weight in gold to me!! I was the first!!

pythonregius35 Jun 01, 2006 07:41 AM

Out of everything floating around out there, this is the funniest yet. Tell your friend to put down the pipe!! LMAO

pythonregius35 Jun 01, 2006 07:12 AM

Here's some pics!! They are very variable in pattern and color, but still dark!! Many people think they look "normal", but then again they haven't seen them hatch!! A huge difference!! Far from "normal"!!

What makes a Sable a Sable and not a granite type. I know they produce Super Sables but still. The reason I ask is I have some of what I call Extreme Granites....Could mine be Sables? They kinda have the look of the sables you pictured. I will snap some shots and send them. Thanks David

WRONG... The only time I was WRONG is when I thought I was WRONG but I was really RIGHT.....LOL...LOL...LOL

All sables that I hatched have some sort of granite patterning to them!! Send me the pics I'd like to see them. I have tons I can send to you!! The Supers eyes are even granite....sweet!!!
