This was kind of cool

I took one of those Japanese beetle traps, and hung it inside my lizard pen today for a while. It was attracting quite a bit. Chili jumped up and caught one in flight. It as pretty neat. I've seen them catch things in midflight in the cage, but this was different. I'll see lots of green shiny craps in a few days. That or dead lizards, if my neighbors sprayed all the beetles first.

I like the idea of using the pheremone traps to get insects into the cage. I've seen a moth trap that uses pheremones. Has anyone ever tried them?

BTW Eve your "application is still pending" so watch it LOL.

Just the other day I knocked some Japanese beetles off some grape leaves into my cricket duster and threw a bunch in all the collared tanks... One of the least active ones surprised me by jumping and doing a mid-air catch. Most of the rest just ignored them. Wrong gutload I guess LOL.
