Got any shots of Sonoran Whipsankes?

I ran across a big one years ago in the Pinals, and have never seen another. It was strikingly colored - dark blue with yellow pinstripes in front changing to buff-red on the tail. Often wondered if they would adjust to captivity.

What part of AZ did you find those guys?

Interesting how many have stubby tails - an army of farmers carrying hoes?

For some reason the ones in my memory are more vivid - maybe I was spending too much time in the sun!
