Handling Snappers???

detrick105 Jun 01, 2006 04:09 PM

Hello, I was wondering how you guy's handle snappers and ally snappers? I've handled common snappers before, and I've kept a lot of different herps before... But I ask this question because I just recently debated the way you should handle snappers (on faunaclassifieds in the field collecting section). Anyhow I just would like some other opinions.
Thanks Steve

numero uno- you dont want to hurt yourself in any way by picking any snapper large or small.
2. you dont want to hurt any animal by picking it up by the tail and damaging its spine or by dropping it. look a couple of post down at turtsandtorts post it shows a couple of pics.
