Tail Problem. Help!

candyhq Jun 01, 2006 05:38 PM

I have a female water dragon about 18-20 inches long. Her tail has a vertical break on it about 4-6 inches from the end. From what I can tell the break is less than half way across the width of the tail. But it is just kind of dangling there. I put repti-wound healing aide on it. But should I try to put a band aide or some sort of a splint on it, to try and prevent it from breaking off completely?

I would put some neosporin on there, and you can use some sort of wrap to keep it from getting any debris in there, but its almost inevitable that it will eventually just fall off. It will be ok, just watch for infection.
