Caramel hatched ,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,

RoyalVariations- Jun 01, 2006 05:45 PM

on 5-29-06. The Caramel was produced from a pair of "outbred" Sutherland het's. When I Acquired the het’s back in 99’ I requested that they be out bred from two different clutches but 100% SK line Caramels. I love to out breed lines and I did not know that Caramels had a tendency to kink. I am glad that the out bred het’s produced this Caramel that has NO KINKS. April first four eggs were laid and three eggs were good. I realized that the chances of hatching a Caramel was not exactly in our favor but we did hatch this little jewel. I have not sexed them yet. This now gives us two unrelated lines of actual Caramels. From now on they will not be bred to their own lines but out bred to the max.

We just moved and our cameras are not unpacked. My wife Deborah took this photo with a digital pocket camera. I will post better photos after the Caramel sheds “if I have unpacked the cameras by then?” Moving is not the most fun domestic activity, LOL but we have alot more space.

I would like to thank the Sutherlands for the beautiful out bred het's.

Wow,
This time the standard reply of your hard work really paid off is truly warranted. That is the way to do it.

Congratulations,
