could i turn a 5 ft long by 18 inch wide by 23 inches tall into an adult tegu cage?

if its wood or something you could just add on to it. one of my cages is going into its 3rd addition. it startd at 5.5x2.5 then 5.5x4 now becoming 8x4 lol
