my cranky little man left me today. this is the second lizard i lost this week. the first one was a collared lizard who i thought was perfectly healthy and took to the vet because her cagemate was sick.

he was on tribissen and an eye ointment. after his initial eye appointment, i took him back because he got the sniffles. they kept him for the day and over night giving him two antibiotic shots. he has been home for the last few days doing fine. gracie died on tuesday. this morning i found stew on his back and thought he was dead. he was hanging on though. i rushed him to the vet and walter too since he has the sniffles and i figure he is next.

the collareds have never met the uros. does anyone know anything about diseases that wipe out collections in lizards?
please help, i don't want to lose all my lizards

Are any of the lizards you have/had recent purchases and might have brought something in with them?

Oh, Vonnie, you poor thing! How awful to lose two at once - I'm so sorry! Will you be able to have a necropsy done? It would be good to know one way or the other if the rest of your collection is at risk.

i am waiting on the autopsy reports for gracie. they had to send the lizard off so i am not really sure when the results are coming in but i really need those results

I don't even know what to say. I just wish I could give you a great big hug, bring you some Godiva chocolate, ben and Jerry's ice cream, and home made chicken soup, and let you have a good cry!! You know we are here for you. I wish I had ANY idea about something that could jump cages like that. I just don't keep enough lizards to know though. I have only ever had 2 at one time and that didn't last long (RIP Archimedes).

My prayers and thoughts are with you though. Let me know if there is anything i can do!
