Photos of natural corns needed

Langi Jun 02, 2006 01:48 PM

Hey all, I have a huge favor to ask all the cornsnake keepers here. I'm doing a reptile program at the library next week and I'd like some photos of different natural colorations of corns to compare to a regular corn. I'm just asking permission to print out pictures to use in my program. So if you have a nice, clear, close, full body picture of one of these coloration that I can have permission to use, I thank you a thousand times.

Here's some wildcaughts (on newspaper). The "golden" blotched female in the second pic is a wildcaught too. She was found that way in SE. North Carolina near the Cape Fear river almost two years ago. It is currently the only one in the world that I know of... (Hoping to breed her older babies next year to see if it is a genetic trait)

No, in my quest and efforts to breed one of her sons back to her this year, I almost missed out on her "fertility" window. He wasn't intersted and I kept trying - so in the end I just bred her to a locality male - but it caused me to have some slugs this year (from waiting so long). I guess her son wasn't old enough yet. But next year I WILL KNOW FOR SURE. Then all the babies will be old enough anyway . . .
