Meet Darwin, just coming out of the egg!

nathan23 Jun 02, 2006 03:09 PM

Only had one egg make it out of this clutch( only 8 were laid). And it is hatching right now! Ive decided a few weeks ago to keep what ever comes out, and name it Darwin. For charles Darwin and his theory of evolution and the statement only the strong survive.

Darwin ( the dragon) is a result of breeding a hypopastel male from randy at Alpha dragonz. To a female unrelated to u.s. lines. So he is a 100% het for hypopastel. Right out of the egg I can see pink and white color tones. Cant wait till sheds in a few weeks!

nate

Im just saying it is because i like the name darwin lol, which means my luck it'll turn out to be a female. lol. He/she/ it's not even out of the egg yet. cant wait till its running around , lol. Hatching a new dragon, or any reptile never gets old. makes me feel like a kid on christmas eve when I open the incubator!!!

peace,
nate

I'm jealous - 3 more weeks on our eggs. It's our second time trying, and we have 11 good eggs yet.
Our first hatching (three years ago) got elimated down to two eggs because of a mishap with the incubator's cord. Two males; one went to a good home with a fur-allergic teenager, and the one we kept we named Phoenix (rising from the ashes), a survivor name like your guy's.
