as far as I know not crosses with the actual red axanthic have been made as only a handful of red axanthic's have been made. there was a pastel het red produced last year and I'm sure there will be quite a few crosses made this year. They are a very nice project but in the hands of quite a few people already (the hets are anyway). Investment opportunity on them is huge providing some of the crosses that come out in the next couple of years bring out the best in this morph. I think this line of axanthic will probably make the one of the best "true ghost" probably only topped by the vpi "true ghost". hope this helps

Care to back up your claim that the het's are in quite a few people's hands? This morph is still very new and has a lot of potential. I believe Corey has only produced 4 red axanthics thus far and 1 or 2 of them are owned by ralph davis. As far as the hets go, I still think there is only handful of them out there still. The pastel het red corey made is an awesome animal and I think he's going to wow us with some more crosses this summer such as lesser het red axanthics. Also I believe the sutherlands are working on producing a red axanthic this year as they have done het x het breedings. I'm not trying to get offensive, just merely pointing out how new this animal is and how underrated it is. There is much to be seen and produced with these animals just as there is with the vanilla's you were posting about a few days back. Can't wait to see pics of your vanilla when you get a chance... heck I think a red axanthic super vanilla or het red axanthic super vanilla would be INCREDIBLE.

when I stated quite a few I was not referring that 100's of people are working with them simply most if not all of the big breeders have them in their collections which I would say is about 20 or so breeders as well as a couple handfulls of smaller breeders. Granted this isn't a ton of people but with a co-dom this is enough people to get a large number of snakes of the het version in 2-3 years. However there are by far alot more lesser's in the public than there are het red's and a good ROI should be seen by the capable breeder for quite awhile. It's amazing how this morph with it's proven genetics is rarer than the true "Platty" in which it's genetics still haven't been iron'd out. Again I was by no means trying to say that het red's and actual red's were all over the place. With as many people in the "Ball game" quite a few is still a very low % of the people involved. There are very few ground floor projects made available and the Red Axanthic project is probably the closest that a hobbyist can get into and make something nobody else has (behind the vanilla/super vanilla of course, lol). BTW I should have some pics of my new boy up tomorrow or sunday, I'm looking forward to showing him off.

I may be wrong but I'm almost certain the Sutherlands sold off there het red axanthics and no longer work with them. Correct me if I'm wrong.
