I keep a 12 ft male tiger male in the 6 ft vision use a 3' by 3' stanfield heat pad which is kinda like a fiberglass pig blanket underneath half the cage attached to a thermostat and i use a red heat light on a rheostat on the other side..but for the summer hot enough to keep all heating stuff off

Vision in my opinion are the only way to go. Easy as heck to clean. Escape proof. Easy to heat. Plus they give you a nice space to work with especially when working around large snakes or trying to remove eggs from a 13ft female who is itching to turn your face into ground hamburg.lol. I've used neos and Ive used homemade. Neos are nice but dont hold heat as well. Homemade can be great but unless your bob villa your going mess up. Not to mention 80% of most homemade vages i see are way to big or way to small. If you dont mind paying the 350 or 400 gor for vision.

my heating method is 1 to 2 11" heat strips on the bellyof the cage a light and a ceramic heater all wired to my helix
