problem with pores

gracemynote Jun 03, 2006 12:13 PM

Okay here's the deal. I'm going to the vet on Monday but I'm still concerned and am wondering if anyone else has seen this and whats going on? So last night I noticed that my gecko had this huge patch of dead skin underneath his belly on the pore area. Well I knew it had been there for awhile. (1st picture) I soaked him in warm water for a bit and was able to get it off. (2nd picture) There were these razor sharp things that are digging into the pores and have caused a slit (maybe the waxy stuff they secrete?) Anyway I have links to pictuers and I am wondering if anyone has seen or heard of this and what to do. I've been applying neosporin like the vet told me to and I'm still scared. He looks a lot better today and like the second picture except without the sharp things. It looks kind of red and it just appears to be a would now. Do gecko wounds heal up pretty nice? Let me know what you think
