whole paper towel? I had a baby ball swallow a whole kleenex viva paper towel today while I was out of the room eating lunch. It must have just got caught up in the mouse when she wrapped it up or snagged on a tooth or something. I am hoping she will regurge it, she looks rather plump. If she doesn't regurge what should I do? Do you think it will pass safely?

strangely enough yes that happened to me a few years ago.

it was like her 5th feeding after hatching, she was about 100-120 grams.

I watched her grab a pink rat, then put the shoebox back.

I didn't look in for 2 days to change the water, and couldn't believe it was gone.

she never gurged it up, but she did pass it in her stool.

luckily she was fine.

and still is.

I know of a cornsnake that consumed a whole "shop towel" a blue fabric type sheet that also comes on a roll but is thicker than a traditional paper towel. The snake kept it's towel for two months, finally regurging it. It is still alive today, doing perfectly fine as far as I know. Amazing.

I learned my lesson, now I switch them to newspaper after their first shed.

But I must say it blew my mind to look in and see no paper towel.
it took a few minutes to wrap my mind around what happened.

I hope she/he passes it alright.
