I was just curious on how everybody here houses their hoggies.(racks, homemade cages, tanks, etc.) I have a 1.1 pair of westerns in tanks and am thinking of getting some others. Tricolors, southerns, who knows!) If you can post any pics that would be great. Thanks, Zack

This is how I now house my Tricolors and my Southerns

and I just moved my Westerns into my big cage. They seem to like it better and do not act as nervous. (of course this is an old pic with my Tris still in it)

I like the shelving unit but, I'd have to set up some kind of heat. My house is about 70 degrees year round. That looks good!!

The heat is easy if you use UTH or heattape.

Can you use heat tape or pads with the shelving being metal?

I don't think there is a problem, you just use a smaller pad. The metal will conduct the heat a bit away from the heat tape, and that increases your heated area.
