The event hosted by the New York Turtle and Tortoise Society today was excellent, and I give the organizers of the show a big thanks. I was so happy to be surrounded by so many wonderful animals today, and I was very impressed with many of the breeders and hobbyists.
The New York Turtle and Tortoise Society is the largest society of its kind in the state of New York, with members hailing from New Jersey, and other states in the North East. The event was well-attended today with many rare species including Egyptian tortoises, and Forest Hingebacks.
Today, I went with my colleague, and we won in the First Place category. I entered my 6 Burmese Star Tortoises for the competition. We missed the overall grand prize by a few slots. The grand prize was won by a woman with breeding pairs of Greeks, Eastern Boxes, and Forest Hingeback tortoises.
