AR Press: Snake Pops Up Inside Truck

Jun 03, 2006 07:30 PM

KTHV (Little Rock, Arkansas) 02 June 06 Venomous Snake Pops Up Inside Truck (Aryana Crowson)
Two Christian missionaries driving on Interstate 430 had quite a scare Friday morning when they discovered a three-foot snake inside their truck. A venomous pine rattler landed on their windshield, then slithered under the truck and ended up inside the pickup's cab. This all happened as they drove 65 miles per hour.
Two unidentified men, traveling from Russellville to Malvern early Friday morning, called Arkansas Urban Wildlife Control after the snake landed on their windshield, disappeared, then made its way through the truck.
Mike Wright, president of Arkansas Urban Wildlife Control, said the snake then reappeared inside the cab, under the dashboard.
The driver and his elderly father abandoned the vehicle near the interchange for Interstates 30 and 430, about six miles after the snake first appeared.
Wright and his coworkers spent three and a half hours dismantling the pickup's dashboard. The five inch in diameter snake was removed unharmed and later released into the wild.

I don't know where to start! That's the funniest thing I've read in a long time in several different categories...

I don't know about the missionaries, but Wildlife Control and this reporter both need to cut back on the moonshine (or maybe it's just the reporter).

!!!!!! thats almost all I can say to this one....

Obviously, the 'AllMighty' didn't like whatever mission they were on and decided to tell them in no uncertain terms!

talk about a good laugh!

...why does it always have to happen in Arkansas?! First that crazy Scottish guy dumps a box of hots he had just picked up at the airport on the side of road and goes back to the airport and dies, and now this. Thank goodness this one didn't involve a captive snake.
