Hi!
We acquired two red-eared sliders about 18 months ago, saving them from a life in a very small glass tank. They now live in a pond in our garden, where they can climb out the side and bask in the sun. Most of the time they seem quite happy (though how on earth you tell I don't know), but over the last couple of weeks, one of them has been going walkabout around the garden at least once a day. He/she did the same thing about this time last year. He/she (we don't know how to tell their sex) is so desperate to be on the move, that he/she forces the fence back that we have erected to try to stop he/she getting out. They are both about 7 inches long. Any advice would be much appreciated.
