SHEDDING?

mustaf91 Jun 04, 2006 05:10 PM

I think my leo is going to shed. It will be his first time since i've had him. I noticed this morning the skin on his tail and a little on his back was pale. He didn't go in his hide box all day and now the skin on his neck/whole body is looking "dead" and whitish. I provided a couple more places with wet paper towels for him to go shed, but hes been lying down under the light all day. I he just making sure allhis skin is ready to come off or what?

Of my 9 leos, only 3 will go into their humid hides to shed. None of them have ever had any problems shedding. Don't worry unless it has trouble shedding. If you think he's having trouble when he actually starts shedding, put him in one of the moist hides, if he likes it/needs it, he'll probably stay there.

ok thanks. Do they usually shed when it gets dark or does it not matter? Will he eat crickets if he's already eaten his skin?
