Lesser Platinum and Mojave questions

electricbluescat Jun 04, 2006 06:15 PM

If a lesser platinum is bred to a mojave will the blue eyed leucistic balls be produced? or is it from a lesser platty to a lesser platty breeding? Also has a super mojave been produced yet? Currently I have 2.2 normal ball pythons. For the first ball morph I wanna invest in some pastels.

thanks,
John

Both, but reportedly you have a better chance of whiter snakes from lesser X lesser. From either of these breedings each egg only has a 25% chance of having a white snake. MKR produced several white snakes from lesser X mojave and posted that they are breeding those white snakes to normals this year. The results of those breedings should shed some light on how lesser and mojave are related. My bet is that they are alleles - different mutations of the same gene. If this is the case then those lesser mojave produced white snakes crossed with normals will produce about 50/50 lessers and mojaves an no white snakes or normals.

"Also has a super mojave been produced yet?"

Yes, it's a basically white snake but with some purplish hues to the head and I think more pattern than the lesser X lesser white snake.
