I mix it a little on the wet side. It soon evaporates or gets sucked into the diet. They eat the full amount and lick the lid clean in a few minutes. My crested diet I make a little thicker since there is 1.2 per cage. They eat chunks and they are all gathered around in a cicle eating when I put it in there. They hardly wait for me to sit it down. The gargoyle diet is the same as the crested diet as far as mixing.
