Panther Equilibrium Way Off

vegasbilly Jun 04, 2006 08:38 PM

Hey All!

My 2 year old male Ambilobe's equilibrium is off. He has a hard time finding the branch in front of him and rolls over on the bio-vines all the time. He waves his front arms wide like he's grasping for the branch and it takes awhile before he finds a secure grasp. I'm thinking maybe an inner-ear infection?? His eyesight is still fine - he hits the food bowl w/a gusto that is unchanged.

Any ideas? I got him a fresh UVB bulb and gave him a small "booster" of calcium/vitamin D.

Billy,

My male veiled, Mr. Pissypants exhibited similiar actions. He got better then began again with the strange behavior then passed away. I took him to a vet and nothing was found wrong with him, pre and post death.

Ouch...not to positive eh? Hopefully all will be well! I know how "not fun" it is trying to figure things out.

I notice Squig had an ataxic gate the other day...similar to Pudge...hmmmm....bought new crix dust...Rep-cal...thinking it might be a deficency or something.

By the way, Squig seems just fine now.
