Bloodpythons.com - Whats YOUR Blood Type?
.
I can not believe it is 3 years today, it seems just like yesterday when I got the news.
I made a dedication page to Peter and I had it posted for two years on my page, the link is no longer there but the page is in tact. Click the link below to see.

P.S... I know there are many boas out there that came from Peters collection so if you have any please post updated pics.

Peter was one of those 1 in a million type of guys. Some of his humor still cracks me up to this day.
What a great dedication page Shaun. It was a nice read. That pic of Peter & Bill is one that I still have saved away. What a great shot. Also, the Peruvian Peter is holding is now gravid by the one Bill is holding. Probably just slugs as that male seems to be a bit on the gay side. Not to mention he hates me.
Kara,
...You are right. Peter will not be forgotten. He had a curiosity about snakes and all things related to natural history and enjoyed sharing what he knew with us. I enjoyed his many posts on these forums and the emails we exchanged about Rainbow Boas.

saw pictures of Pete's BCC collection. That is what started it all for me with BCC. I enjoyed a few phone conversations and many email exchanges with Pete. He was a great guy.
Nice to see Petes name on the forum, he was a friend that I never got to meet in person. We talked on the phone or emailed every week and he would always talk about his daughters or students which he took great pride! I am glad I have a few animals here produced from animals from his collection, he will always be remembered by me and the people that became his friend via this forum! Of all the people I have met via the forums or my dealings on Kingsnake, I dont think anyone touched my life like Pete did. His girlfried at the time of his death wanted me to let everyone know how much the comments here in the forums have met to her, his daughters and family are doing well. I know we can be busy with buisness and family, but its great to see that someone like Pete will never be forgotten! Regards, Big Jim
I only heard of him, but its good people remember him and his good qualities to friends and the herp community. One of the reasons I really enjoy this forum so much and its members.
After Pete's passing I bought one of his snakes (a Belknap that he had raised up) and bred her, producing one little male that I will probably never part with. I think of Pete every day when I look at this guy. I miss Pete's passion and enthusiasm, he did it for the love of the animals and this hobby could use a little more of that. I would say RIP, but if I know Pete, he's not resting

I thought of Peter last night as I was cleaning cages and water crocks....knowing today would be 3 years since!! I have never spoken on the phone with any man as long as I did with Peter and we were 3000 miles away! Boas, natural history, husbandry, wrestling, etc.,....He was the only person that could and did talk me out of a boa I never thought I'd sell, but I KNEW it was going to a great home!!!!! See Shaun's tribute page....its the male Columbian Bcc (yes, that borders Peru and boas don't recognize political boundries!) draped across the green plastic chair...he has explanation points in between his saddles!!...I still don't know who owns him now???? Anyway, Peter's passion, open mind, enthusiasm, sharing personality, down to earth nature, incredible husbandry, and need to learn and educate people about our natural planet is unique and rare in our hobby/profession of high dollar boas. The planet is a better place because of you Peter and I will always miss you! Charlie
He got me into the BCCs for sure, and it has not been the same without him. I can't belive it has been that long since he passed away...you are missed Pete!
I do remeber emailing him a few times asking about his boas. Seeing pictures of his BCC's changed my whole opinion on boas. At the time I just had BCI's and wanted to get into morphs but seeing pictures of his boas on the green lawn chairs really sparked an interest in BCC. Without even trying he "hooked" several of us on BCC. Thanks Pete and RIP.
