HI ! I normally just look at the Sand Boa post But I have a problem I’ve never had before . I have 36yr. Experience razing reptiles .I have a 5mth.old female Redtail Boa that is not totally digesting it’s meals.
She is eating two hoppers a week and the last time she defecated she did so in her water bowl and it had a slightly abnormal odor to it but not like when they have a internal parasite ,that always smell like death .
But she is acting normally and active . Any one had this problem ? O ya her tank is kept at 85 on the high end and 75 on the low end . Let me know .

In my opinion your cool side temps should be about 82 and warm side should be above 90 closer to 95.This should result in total digestion. If this fails to solve the problem try only feeding one appropriately sized prey item per week.It still wouldnt hurt to get a fecal done,it is inexpensive and can save you money in the long run.Hope this helps!JOHN!
