Maybe a stupid question...

I don't find out the hard way though...

I have an Albino Kingsnake and an Orchid Praying Mantis. Both would do well in the same terrarium as long as they don't kill each other. If I put the Mantis in with the snake I will also have to put various other live insects inside for the Mantis to eat. Is this dumb?

I know it would be best to set up another terrarium, but I would like to avoid this if possible.

Thanks for the help,

Jake

On a recent TV show, a hatchling cornsnake was savaged by a large mantis. The corn escaped but was seriously chewed up. The same could happen to your king if it is small. A larger kingsnake is unlikely to see a mantis as food - its just not a natural prey item - but could accidentally squash the mantis while moving about.

Be responsible - care for your animals properly.
House them seperately!

That's the plan - I just have to get or make a new terrarium though. The mantis is an orchid mantis and should be in with a orchid, but I was told they won't bloom consistantly under 18" tall. I'm sure I'll come up with something'

Thanks
