I have a baby American Alligator that I purchased in February. "He" (unknown sex as of yet!) has been eating pinky mice and chicken meat since we got him and is growing steadily. I am wondering, how much to feed him, as we have been keeping track of his weight and length. Recently his tail is getting quite thick and we are worried that he may be eating too much. We feed him about 5 pinky mice every two days with chicken once a week in bite sized portions. Is this too much or not enough? How about the frequency of feeding? What would you all recommend? Any help is much appreciated. Thank you in advance!
