cal kings AND zonata

sc_shark Jun 05, 2006 09:39 PM

Here are a couple subadult Cal Kings that I found night driving in the S.F. bay area a couple nights ago:

They sure are hard to miss on the road!!!

And here is a new shot of my coastal zonata - she is growing like a weed! It was hard to get her to sit still for this shot. I had to "race" her for a couple minutes to tire her out a bit, then I cupped her under my hand. Luckily, she finally sat still long enough for a few pics. She is pushing 20" and is eating 2 pinkies every 4 days, right out of my hand!

Enjoy!!!

Nice Ca. kings. I just recieved 2 from someone in my area (Salinas). I used to live where he found them and I never saw a single one. I won't disclose the area he said he caught them lol for obvious reasons but plan to go look this weekend.
Man I miss my camera (sighs) but getting another soon.
Anyway great snakes..

Thanks for posting
Those are a couple of nice finds for driving the Bay Area! Must have been last saturday night, because it was a perfect night, 80 degrees about 8:00 p.m.; I had the itch but didn't go.
