I like the pic Bob. And I sure miss those Neodesha cages. I know, you can't stack them w/o racks, but darm were they easy to heat, clean, ventilate, etc. Best design IMO.

Always a pleasure. Hope all is well. I am presently selling them. I have downsized quite a bit.

That's a very handsome Speckled. What state is it from?

I was told by the collector that from that area they are nicely evenly speckled. VERY tame for a WC too. I was always told/read they were nippy /nervous (wc) but he was tame as a kitten when I bought him at Hamburg P.A. a few years back.

.....there is not a species on this earth that I have had more experience with than speckled kings, both in the wild and captivity. I have collected and kept locales from AL, MS, LA, and KS, and none of them have the attitude that all literature says they do. Reading about speckled kings in books and on-line makes them appear to be very nervous and defensive. I have found that to be so far from the truth I wonder if the author's have some conspiracy against them...lol. They are great captives, with strong feeding responses, and very mild personalities. I'm glad yours is doing so well. He looks great!

Thatis why it took me soo long to get into Black Milks. Some of the mainstream books gave them a write up that made them sound horrible and not at all like the fantastic animals that have become my favorites. Even the pics in the books were of extremely UGLY individuals. When you see how beautiful the average solid black Milk is in sunlight it blows you away. Thanks again.

Beautiful. From that pic he looks like he's got a nice even pattern. Very few bands. Did you raise that guy from a hatchling. I've got an '05 that's still pretty small. Hard to believe he's gonna grow up into a looker like that.
