I do like the "action" shots. Much more interesting than turtles just sitting there.
There is a little too much contrast because it looks like you took them outside on a bright day. You can improve the overall look of shots like this by using a little fill flash to brighten up the dark areas. In situations like this, I will often just shade the animal to decrease the contrast and then add a little flash to lighten the target up.
The last one shows a little motion blur to the head. You could increase the shutter speed to freeze that (or use flash) but in this case I think the motion blur implies action, and I assume that is what you are trying to capture.
