jnjreptiles Jun 07, 2006 08:34 AM

We are not leopard gecko people, but we saw this and it made us sick, so we though everyone would else want to see.A dealer in mass. that sells leos, beadies, bedding and other dry goods, is selling frozen leopard gecko's for $2.99 ea.If you ask me this is rediculus and needs to be stopped. I can't post his name but can give a good hint. It's not warmbloods but....
This guy is crossing the line and it needs to be stopped.
Just my 2 cents.

I don't even understand this... Why would anyone want a frozen leopard gecko? Is it some sort of feeder? Sorry for my ignorance.

as sad as it might sound, people do use them for feeders. They do it to lots of things like anoles as well. It is just the way it goes. Some snakes will not take mice readily as most snakes (hatchlings) start out on small lizards in the wild. They use these to wean their snakes. Not sad, just food chain. Although, i would think you could make more money off them alive. Maybe these were sick or deformed babies.
