I don't want to presume too much, but someone dropped a thread in this forum last week looking for someone to take his 4 foot gator. He was from Michigan also, and I responded and gave him the number for a rescue not too far away.

This seems to be too much of a coincidence. Same size animal, same city. They ought to beat this guy with a hammer if it's the same one.
