Amen brother!!! I just renewed my account after not having one for like 5 mos, and I was amazed how long it took. I am running a cable connect, and have no problems on any other sites. Craig

Except for the occasional hiccup on the network, I normally find the site loading quickly for me. I definitely have not noticed a pattern of it slowing down. When someone complains of slowness, the first thing I always ask them is to clean out their temporary internet files or cache and their cookies. Then run a free spyware program such as Adaware http://www.lavasoftusa.com/. Those spyware files can really bog you down.

The third problem that could be to blame is routers. When you try to connect to a site, it takes you thru a series of routers to reach your goal. Every web site goes to a different location so uses a different set of routers. If one breaks down, they have to route around it and that can really slow you down. I know of no way to fix this problem.

I hope one of these will help you. We hate to hear about anyone having trouble loading our site.

I run an ISP and have been working in the network feild for many years and I have to say, your site does have its problems. Really, I think its your SQL server. MANY times the header of a page will load and sit there, sometimes it will time out, sometimes it will go, but it always seems like its when the PHP page is getting the message data from the SQL server. Have you tried cleaning them up? Time to get new/more sql servers? I have had this problem at both my office (T3 with bellsouth) and my home (cable with mediacom). You can blame it on the backbone all you want, but my professional openion is its your SQL servers. I am not saying you are doing a bad job, its hard to keep up with high traffic sites that use the DB for every request... but when thats the case good servers running good database packages and good servers with VERY GOOD memory can come in handy.

Good luck, I hope you figure it out... most the problems always seem to happen from 10p-1a.

I only understood about half what you said, I am computer illiterate, but all I can say is, I know this site is by far the slowest of any site I frequent, and it is the one I frequent most. Craig

I missed the computer lingo as well, but there are definetly times when this site is SLOWWWWW! It is definetly a Kingsnake problem though because all other sites load fine.
