Has Anyone Experienced this before?

SINGKNAKE Jun 07, 2006 03:16 PM

I went to one of my baby kings cages to check on him and I thought he was dead, even when I picked him up he did not move, period...he was floppy and stiff at teh same time, yet then he moved slightly, his eyes were milky and looked like he was going to shed. Two days later he was moving more, the day after he was back to normal, the day after that he ate a fuzzy and shed his skin.

It freaked me out, but i am glad he is alive.

Sounds pretty bad. Did it have access to a water bowl? It could have been severely dehydrated... Most snakes won't move much in their shed phase, but they will/should move enough so you know they are alive. Good to hear all is well now.
