Leopard tortoise on his side

JEANETTE74 Jun 07, 2006 05:08 PM

I came home and found my leopard tortoise on his side-he seems like he was trying to climb on his hide box-this is the second time in 6 months I've found him like this-any suggestion? When he's on his side he cannot get back upright and I know that is not good!

Why not make a new hidebox that's slanted sides and allow him to climb there without getting on his side? Keep it away from the enclosure walls though in case he uses it as a step to get out.
