Thinking of building a crested Vivarium

Blankminded Jun 07, 2006 11:35 PM

I was thinking about building a Vivarium in a 48 high tank. I was woundering if there was any other geckos or frogs i could put in. Im not sure if im gonna put crested geckos in there but it was just a thought. The idea came from makeing a tree frog Vivarium but was thinking about putting in geckos. thanks in advanced for your help.

Hi!
Would love to see the set up when you're done - we are currently in the process of building one as well!
I'm not really positive as to what you're trying to do but if I understand correctly, you have tree frogs and you might get a crestie and place them both in the same tank? My advice would be to not do it. Cresties tend to think every little moving thing is food - from fingers to even hair. You're frogs would probably not last very long! Also there is the issue of poison. I don't know anything about the kind of frogs you have but I know that some frogs can have poisons on them or in them. I would definantly not reccomend putting the little guys together. I hope this was helpful!

At the time i dont have anything. sorry if i wrote it wrong. I dont have the tank or any frogs. I meant i was thinking about building the tank for frogs but was thinking about haveing cresties in there with frogs. I was thinking the same thing you said about the cresties eatting the frogs or atlest tryint to eat them. If i do go with just tree frogs does anyone know any good species i could mix together?
