Wes Comment: OK Uro-people, let's get a communal grip on your man-eaters shall we?! We don't want them getting loose to hunt down people in their homes, wandering camels or basking Nile Crocodiles do we? When oh when, will the Uro-terror end?
On a realistic note: Your python/croc/hot-keeping peers see this sort of press all of the time ... this is my first experience in finding 'bad' Uro press since I started keeping clippings in 1994!
Cheers all,
Wes
KUWAIT TIMES (Safat, Kuwait) 08 June 06 Qurain family saved from Dabb Lizard (Hanan Al-Saadoun)
Kuwait: Qurain fire-fighters used their talents this time not to fight a fire, but to rescue a Kuwait family from a Dabb Lizard.
They received a call from a Kuwait family, saying there was a slow moving animal in their yard and they were too scared to open the door. The family, who are living in Al-Qosour, apparently were so frightened by the animal that they didn't even know what it was.
When firemen arrived, they caught the animal to the great relief of the family.
Paperboy Note: 'Dabb' (or Dhub, Dub) is a local name for lizards of the Uromastyx species.
