Mouse or Rat?

I have a ball python that i purchased about 2 months ago so far everything has been goin jus fine an still is......right now it is eating f/t mice......it is about 19.5 inches long an ways about 100grams so i was wondering if i should start feeding it rat pups? . . . . .any advice would be great. Thanks

A hatchling can start out on rats, go ahead and swich to an appropriate sized rat. make the rat the size of the fattest part of the snake.
