Help w/ new rack...

ninjalo Jun 08, 2006 04:24 PM

Just got a new rack and have a question about ventilation. the tubs fit so snug in the shelves that there is almost no space for air to circulate. I've noticed that this is causing a lot of condensation on the sides of the tub. My question is, is it necessary to modify the tubs in order to improve vetilation and if so what are some suggestions. Or should I do something a little simpler like just use a smaller water bowl? Any help is appreciated, TY.

Possibly adding more vent holes on the tubs would solve your problem.

Exactly if you make to many electric tape covers them up nice albit not the best looking. I would suggest useing a soder gun rather than a drill and bit.

Water bowl placement will also affect condensation, if it's toward the back over the heat....more vapor in the air, towards the front and less vapor in the air. My BRB's thrive in the overly humid tubs. I do pull every tub every day to check for nasties. So the air does not get stale.
