Making Cham cage some questions

nymph Jun 08, 2006 08:01 PM

We are making cages for our two veiled chams, and I am going to use screen and metal. It will be like a screen door. That is what I was thinking. I was wondering if anyone who has made cages can offer any better suggestions, like is wood better?? etc. And also, since these caged will be thier adult cages, what is the best size to make them. I like the screen idea also because my femaale tends to drink water from the screen instead of from the plants. I also think that since that is what they are in now, it would be a little easier adjustment. And I think it would be nicer looking than wood. What does everyone think?? Thanks

PVC pipes work good because they don't get hot like metal dose(you don't want them to get burned) and the different parts make it really easy to put together.

Usually the bigger the better. For one cham 24X24X36in is a good size.
