Hi Gang:
Hundreds of frogs were rescued just this past week from the Cytrid Fungus that has been worrying all the experts about the worldwide disappearance of frog populations. The reports talk about experts fearing that we would be seeing the first loss of an entire taxonomic class since the dinosaurs. I had only read tid bits here and there over the last few years and felt the problem so large and me too small to really help. But, I'm deciding to do what I can...tell you guys for one. If you don't know about it, read about it on Frognet.org or let me know and I'll post the report here.
I hope that I can soon devote more space to more breeding. I can't imagine this world without our beautiful frogs. How can we possibly lose them all? Now, I'm going to let myself feel sad about it and see what it motivates me to do. Keep on loving your precious jewels of the forest...they may one day soon be only jewels inside glass boxes, and God forbid one day...jewels of our historical past.
Maggie
