Hi,
I am new to the forum and could use some help.
I have a 1 yr old crested gecko that is not doing well. One sunday we noticed that her toes were twitching and she seemd a little lethargic, I noticed she seemed a little cool, so i adjusted the temps and she started to move around a bit more. I also added some reptical to the baby food since I thought it could be a aclcium deficency.
Monday Evening i noticed that she was lying on the tank bottom with a mouth full of Dirt, hardly moving, and having some trouble breathing. I took her out, tried to get as much of the dirt out as possible and trid to get her to drink but she was not or could not use her tongue. after rincing sme more of the dirt out she finally stared to lick a tiny bit, but still wouldnt eat or drink.
First thing Tuesday i brought ther to the vet and he said he didnt think she was impacted but had MBD (due to her front limbs being a little swolen) and gave me emeraid II and some neocalglucol to force feed her with a syringe (.75 cc once a day)
I moved her to her own tank with paper towel substrate
On wed I thought she was doing better, she had started licking when i was feeding her and had started moving a bit.
Then yesterday i noticed she was a little bloated but she seemd to still be eating. ( not deficating though)
This morning she is very bloated and has a hard time using her limbs, she can move them but the control is not there. I called my vet and he is out of state until tues. Should i stop with the emeraid? Might she in fact be impacted? Help!
