A couple of wild Nile croc pics.

These are not mine but rather credited to bwana.

One picture is a Nile crocodile sharing a buffalo with a lion.

It's a big Nile on the left.

The other picture is a Nile moving from a dam across the road to a river carrying a warthog.

These guys are pretty good overland aren't they?

While I especially like the second photo, I find the first photo of the Nile sharing the prey with the Lion to be quite interesting. Can anyone comment on how common that particular combination is? I would think that the lion would be quite protective of it's prey and would attack the Nile if it approached it meal? Or, it could be the other way with the Nile attacking a potential predator if approached too closely.
