WESH (Winter Park, Florida) 12 June 06 Gator Blamed For Biting Snorkler Believed Captured
Park officials will decide on Monday whether to reopen the waters at Kelly Park in Apopka.
Trappers think a 5�-foot alligator attacked a snorkler last week, WESH 2 News reported.
The alligator was captured just 50 yards from where Michael Diaz was bitten. Diaz now has 33 staples in his head because of the gator's bite.
Trappers did leave some baited hooks in the water just in case they grabbed the wrong alligator.
